About

I live in New Haven, CT as an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow at Dwight Hall at Yale. I earn very little in this position, but I am extremely dedicated to it, as working for a non-profit, and honing my development and program skills is very important to me.

I make so little I qualify for SNAP (food assistance.)

This blog will is my way of dealing with being on a diet, exercising, grappling with many projects, and trying to eat healthy. What the hell does healthy mean anymore? I’m not sure I know. I ate nothing but organic for at least a month, and then broke down and bought 40 Lean Cuisine when they went on sale.

I’m in a place of utter confusion. I hope this blog will help.

In the past, I lived in California, studying at CalArts, I was a tutor for elementary through high school students at My Kids Tutoring, a Composition instructor for incoming BFA-1’s at CalArts, and a Teaching Assistant for a community arts partnership between Newhall Elementary and CalArts. I was a guest crocheter for the Institute for Figuring’s Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef and a transcriber for the documentary film/ book project JAMerica. In 2011, I also started Stamped Books, a tiny press that makes handmade chapbooks, letterpressed broadsides, and other printed documents. I am originally from Allentown, PA, and have also lived in Pittsburgh, PA, Santa Clarita, CA, and Boulder, CO.
